How to Clean Kitchen Sinks

Oct 31st

An enamel kitchen sink is powdered glass, which squeezes into a metal surface. This gives the element a shiny finish. Enamel can scratch and damage easily because it is a delicate material. Rust is a brownish spot that occurs when liquid settles on a metallic surface. Rust can transfer its taste and odor to other items, so it is important to clean the rust in the enamel kitchen sink immediately. Remove all dishes, dirt or food residue from enamel dishes. Run some warm water and dry the laundry with a sponge. Moisten a soft cloth with warm water and put the cloth aside for now.

Dry enamel wash with terry towel. Sprinkle baking soda over the rust spot. Use roughly 1/2 cup of soda, adjust it, depending on the size of the stain. Scour the stain with the warm cloth. Scrub up and down as well as in a circular motion. Press down slightly to clean the entire rust spot. Allow the moist baking soda to sit on rust for about 10 minutes. Remove baking soda powder from the kitchen sinks with two or three paper towels.
